Spiral Skills
Spiral Skills have been awarded a grant from the Homewards Fund to enable them to scope, design and launch their new office space offering a range of services specifically for young people.
Spiral will use their expertise to work collaboratively with a range of local partners, leading experts, and people with lived experience of homelessness, to ensure the approach is embedded within the community in a way that truly connects their young service users with other services and support offers.
This new space will build capacity for Spiral to provide long-term, holistic support for young people at risk of homelessness, with the aim of breaking cycles of vulnerability before they escalate.
“At Spiral we were overjoyed to receive the support of the Homewards Fund, which has been vital in enabling us to launch our support and skills development space this autumn. We were really impressed with the approach of the Lambeth Homewards team – taking time to listen to local organisations, make connections between experts in the community and putting their research into action. Our track record delivering frontline services is well documented, but finding funders brave enough to support new ideas was nearly impossible. Together we will transform access to opportunity for our most underserved young people – intervening early through street outreach and bringing them to a safe place where they can meet someone who has lived their challenges and can connect them to a holistic range of services that put them on the path to safety.”
