I was troubled as I tried
to put my work together.
Mate, I struggled and I strived
To put my work together
The work you’re all doing is
So important to me, that
There were times I crumbled and I cried
To put this work together.
The work you’ve all been doing
Is inspiring stuff.
In regards to homelessness,
We can see times have been tough.
But I feel like I’m living in a time
That’s kind of fascinating,
Seeing people tackle homelessness
By collaborating.
And it gives my heart
A little comfort to know.
…That we’re bound to get this
Situation under control.
With strong partnerships
And focused interventions
Not only on after effects,
But also homelessness prevention.
Let’s recognise the great things
Done by heroes in our sector.
Let’s change mindsets
As we zero into better.
Keep up the good work,
Remain humble and focused,
As we move onwards,
Upwards and homewards.
