Groups where Homewards BCP can help the most

In Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, the Coalition have a shared ambition to demonstrate that it is possible, through collaboration and prevention, to end youth homelessness. The number of young people (aged 16-24) experiencing homelessness in BCP is on the rise, with a 14% year-on-year increase in the first half of 2025.

In that period, 264 young people were found to be homeless, or at risk of homelessness. The reasons include family breakdown, the increasing cost of living, being unable to afford a home and being unable to secure steady employment.
